Default after much thought....

i think i have decided im done with car audio. ive been all stock since sept 08 between my avalanche and now the ram.

other than upgrading the doors and possibly and i stress POSSIBLY adding something small to cover the low end i dont think i will be doing any sub stage from now on. looking back ive just spent way to much and sadly ive grown bored of it. hell i havent even put a cd in my stock h/u of either of the trucks while i owned either of them.

i still enjoy installing though when im feeling up to it and if i have some help. i cant do everything i could before getting hurt. that may be part of the problem as well.

maybe if everything works out with this VA and social security stuff and if im allowed to start working even part time again ill get back into it some. id like to build something to compete with again but not a daily driver.
when that time comes ill probably be in contact with DJ and see what the deal is with the new amp he mentioned earlier this afternoon. see what its all about only time will tell i guess.

just to correct something from this post. the engine was well over 600 pounds. it was a 6cyl diesel for one of the 5ton 6 wheel drives we used. so anyone who knows diesels knows what kind of weight we are talking about

ive been doing plenty of other peoples cars having fun with them but its just not the same for my own right now. sitting inside with all the pressure of a large system really started causing problems for my head with the problems i have with it. smaller systems arent so bad though.

I can certainly understand your decision. I can't believe that you survived that. I would be thanking God for still being alive. I hope everything goes well with your surgery and recovery and me and my family will be praying for you.

would still be 750-1000 or so between the 2 sealed so would be plenty loud but i wouldnt turn it up much these days. hell i only drive about 15 miles a week anymore as it is.

i figured rather than spend what money i have on the audio id use it to buy a couple smaller houses do a little work to them and rent them out. VA says i cant get a job but they never said i cant be a home owner and rent the property out for extra income.
