Default to socket or not to socket.

well i have the monster 8. also have a little time this weekend. as most know, i hurt the cone so i need to recone it. so my question may seem stupid, but should i wall socket this thing?

im more worried about the little 2.5 inch coil coming apart and gettign stuck in the motor.

lets give it a vote.

Why not just cut the cone off and get a new cone?
