The way I have my amp rack mounted in front of the trunk, I have to be able to fit the box thru my back seat, and 13" is the max safest height for the box to be able to.
It is important to note that these dimensions I've given you are actually the exact size of the box I currently have (it takes up the entire open space of the trunk), and I'm unhappy with its performance. Which leads me to believe the box is probably too big.
The box I have now has both the sub and port foward firing, and usually that's how I run my setups cause I like being able to see the sub play, but I am wondering if maybe an upfiring design would sound better? If I were to do an upfiring design, the max height would have to be cut down several inches to give the sub room to excursion though.
I'm open to whatever you suggest as I trust you can figure out the best design for it. Basically I just want this thing to get as loud as possible for my application, though I don't want it to be a one note wonder "fart box" but at the same time I want to be able to utilize the potential of it as this sub can obviously put out some good bass.
For carpet and port I'd like dark charcoal carpet, and a flared port.
Look foward to doing business with you.
Let me know how much $ I'll be looking at for this and what the turn around time will be looking like.
