Default Anyone know anything about ancient coins?

I have this coin that my mom found at her work place, could you tell me a little bit about it? Ive dug up that its somewhere between 2500-3000 years old (1000 BC-600 BC) and that it might be a greek athenian dracham.

it does look greek and appears real but the weight is off by quite a bit. that doesnt mean its a fake but you would have to get it checked out to be certain.
set up a meeting with someone at a museum that deals with coin/currency and they will be able to give you better information since they can see it in person.

the markings look to be similar to
449-413 BC
although its worn so the markings are far from perfect. that wouldnt hurt it to much though its still in very good condition if it is real

Ive seen them where you couldnt even tell it was a coin much less what you see on this one, and they were in an auction. I agree about the date. They started making them in about 600-500 BC the 3rd generation i believe. We went to five museums around here (Sanilac, Huron County) and they told us practically what you just did, they werent Coin Specialist, but its all we could find as far as someone looking at it. Thank you for your knowledge

is it something you would want to sell? i might be interested in it and take a chance on it being real depending on what you would ask for it.

Here it is.
The reserve is 250, but thats because we see them selling for 600-1000 dollars, but offers are ALWAYS good...
