Okay, if you read my build log then you know that I thought I fubared my deck and that my dad felt bad for me since I couldn't afford to replace it for at least 1.5 months so he bought me one to replace it.
After getting home and reading the manual I discovered that I'd pinched a speaker wire so my deck was fine after I disconnected it from the speaker wiring. Now I've got a spare deck, brand new in the box, that I have absolutely no use for.
Here's where I need the advice, I was going to sell it since I do not need it and pay my dad back but he says don't worry about it, keep it as a spare. I don't really see needing a spare HU so one the one hand I'd like to sell it and make use of the cash but on the other it's comforting knowing that I've got a spare in the event my head should indeed go tits up.
What would you do?
Not that it matters but it's a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X692.
