Ok, I am only posting this in General Discussion so that others can comment on it. I am NOT trying to flame DntLuvMe even though I am sure he wouldn't extend me that courtesy. I just want this aired out before it gets out of hand.
DntLuvMe and I came to a trade agreement involving his AQ2200 + cash for my SoundStream DTR3400. Since he is a relatively new member and I have been scammed twice already on here, I asked him to ship first. He agreed and I told him I would ship the same day I got his amp if I got it early enough to test it and everything was cool. Well, the amp came too late in the day for me to test it and ship it that day. He must have been staring at the tracking progress because he started texting me the second the amp arrived at my house bugging me about why I wasn't shipping on my end yet. And when I say bugging me, I mean 10 texts within a half an hour accusing me of scamming him and "this is bs" and he shouldn't even pay me because he was probably gonna get a brick instead of an amp, etc.
Anyway, so I got the amp in the car the next day early because we agreed to ship first thing Monday (today). I removed a working amp from my car and hooked up the AQ2200. Straight plug and play. I got nothing but a power light. I did actually hear the amp "click" on, but there was no ouput other than heat. After a few minutes of double checking the gains and whatnot, I noticed my subs were extremely hot. I checked and double checked everything with a DMM and even had a couple buddies come behind me and check and double check everything. I put my other amp back in and it worked fine. I put in another known good amp and it worked fine.
My conclusion is that the AQ2200 I got from DntLuvMe is a non-working piece of equipment and that this trade agreement should be null and void. I am NOT acusing DntLuvMe of knowingly sending me a bad amp or of trying to scam, I am only saying that the amp I recieved did not work and that I will not be held responsible for said non-working amp.
Several members on here can vouch for the fact that I know what I am doing and that this was not installer error. I am also posting a vid that he sent to me to prove the amp was functional, but as you can see in the vid, the sub is not moving and all it really shows is the power light that I have already verified.
