Wonder if the blade is ruined after it stops itself?Watching teh demo it says a block of aluminum stops the blade.Sounds like a one time thing then you have to buy all new parts.I guess its better then losing a hand.

yeah you gotta buy a new blade and cartridge($69) but compared to all the medical cost...huge difference. Still trying to figure out how much they cost though, just assuming its a ton.

edit: just found a local dealer that sells them

Im tryin to think, Ill find out Monday when I go back to work. We havent even hard wired it yet, lol. Hasent been used, its nice though. I like the fact that you can place the whole 8ft sheet of wood on it.

Using a push stick will keep your fingers out of harm's way. Having sloppy technique just because you believe your saw will keep you safe is folly and foolishness. Nothing is 100% when it comes to technology and I, personally, have no desire to find out that the safety feature decided to shit the bed first hand.
