Default 2011 Kia Optima.. Completely new renovation. Thoughts?

Ive been looking for a new(er) car for a while and am just not satisfied with whats available in the market.. I know new cars are a terrible investment, but oh well, you gotta buy what you like , right?

On that note, since 2009 Kia has REALLY made huge improvements in their technology, engineering, and designs, and are really coming up in the auto world ( finally! ) .. I was originally looking at a Kia Koup, which resembles a Honda Civic, but then thought , for about 4-5K more I could have a Full size car with great quality that still gets 25/35 MPG... What do you guys think, I think they did a great job on this car, and I guess we will see next month

Kia and Hyundai have been killing the competition recently. The new Sorento and Sportage/Tucson are both leaps and bounds beyond the rest of their class. A loaded Sorento is something I wouldn't mind at all driving.

The only company that comes close to matching Hyundai/Kia's rapid improvements is Ford. Kinda makes you wonder who the hell is buying GM vehicles now.

Very nice.. My buddy and his woman were looking at one.. The interior is a little Mehh compared to some other crossover/ small SUVs, but I think the exterior is great.. And about 4K less than the nearest competition ( escape, CR-V etc )

Good to hear too.. Cause those years were the Times Kia was really Struggling to make a good product and get their foot in the door, and was building themselves a terrible reputation

my sister inlaw has a 2006 kia optima, i think they are great. ride quality is nicevery stable as high speed and they get great mpg.

if the new optima is the exact same as its Hyundai cousin, its a great buy imo

Good luck with that interference engine. When something happens to your timing the whole top end of your motor smacks off the pistons.
All 5,000 dollars worth to the wifes Kia Sorento. From a mouse climbing in through a hole in the timing belt gaurd.Skipped time....and kaboom.
