Okay, so this pisses me off.
My 8 month old little girl is sick (throwing up/coughing), I call in saying I might not make it in tomorrow and the assistant manager says, "You know damn well Wynette (the manager, who LIVES there) won't want to get up tomorrow morning) unless I have to take Isabella (my little girl) to the emergency room.
Well I think, that if I NEED an extra day off I should be able to have one. I don't have a hard job by any means (motel desk clerk), but I have put in over 92 hours in a two week period MULTIPLE times and not seen ONE penny of overtime. Oh and Montana minimum wage is up to $6.90 now (as of Jan 1st 09), and guess what I got paid per hour (with no overtime) for the 1st-15th? My same old $6.75 an hour... UNDER minimum wage...
If I didn't need this job so bad I would tell them to stick something where something doesn't shine..
