Default So this morning...

at about 5:00am, i wake up to a weird tone and my bedtable vibrating, i thought it was my girls or my phone ringing from a text, but its my ****ing alarm keypad for my blazer, i was like you gotta be kidding me (i just moved out and this is the 4th night i lived in my new apartment), so i grabbed my knife and ran my ass outside, and no ones out there... next time the 12 gauge is gonna come out

only way my alarm goes off is if the car is hit pretty hard, or if you lift any of the door handles

kinda gay its already happend, a few others have nice bmw's, denali's, beamers there. can you get insurance on your audio? through your insurance company or somethin?

Not that I've heard of due to Insurance fraud. Use to be full coverage would cover it if something were to happen...

Some companies will do it, not sure if they all do.

I had my stuff jacked once, luckily I had the extra coverage.

This is what happened.

Insurance company: Allstate

Anything in a factory location is covered under your comprehensive coverage. HU, door speakers, stuff like that.

Any other gear would be covered under the "extra insurance". Amps, subs, wiring, etc...

They will require you to provide receipts for everything, this is when buying from a local shop comes in handy. I went to the shop and told them what happened, they faxed receipts for everything I ever bought from them to the insurance company, insurance company paid for every penny of coverage I had.

Then it must be based on where you live, because here in CA you cant. Unless the laws recently changed...

a few companies insure it.
i have state farm and they insure everything
as long as its connected to the vehicle. so i always bolt the box to the floor. then anything connected to the box is covered as well.

the best option would be just get some really good renters insurance
although it would only cover your vehicle on the grounds of the apt
