I havent rode in any diesel faster than a 15.2 quarter my friends newer cummins with basic bolt ons

i had a 95 7.3 it had bigger injectors intake exhaust and a chip and it was fast for a truck but not as fast as fast cars.

unless it had real motor work and bigger its not going to be much faster than about 15s in the quarter with stock turbo.

that was 5 yrs ago now i built this cummins dakota hence the s/n.

Ive rode in a 2000 F350 Crew cab dually w/ 4" lift and 35"s. Has a DPtuners tune, Garret GT38 Ceramic ball bearing turbo running ~25PSI. Quick and fun. Also have driven my buddies 7.3 PS and its pretty quick too. Outruns my tahoe on 35"s with a 350.

It doesn't take much for a diesel to smoke a car. Just money. I personally am a fan of duramax's, with efi you can easily get to 500 hp without much more mods, add a 2.6(for pulling) turbo and some injectors and your up to around 700 hp. It's pretty cool seeing a 6-7k pound truck go down the track in 12 seconds or faster and leaving a mustang in the black smoke
