Default I need some help from anyone that can help me.

So i work a part time job. I go in as much as i can when there is something to do. I only make $7/hr. I get taxes taken out and everything. Is this illegal. My dads already threatening me cuz im taking legal action. Im tired of being broke and this is the only place that will let me work. I cant find a job anywhere. I have only made $4000 this year alone and its the end of the year. I average anywhere from $20-$120 a week. They wont ever pay me a full weeks check even if i bust my ass. They take out whatever they can and im tired of this shit. I need some money bad. Can anyone help me out on where to start looking things up?

Minimum wage for Illinois is $8.25 as of July 1st 2010. I believe you are being paid an illegal amount. http://www.state.il.us/agency/idol/f...s/MW7-1-10.pdf check that out.

No you can't do anything about it, unless you're getting paid under minimum wage. (And even then there's probably nothing you can do about it)

And of course they're going to take taxes out...

Only advice i can give you is don't quit. Bust ya ass looking for another job, find a better job, get hired. THEN and only then quit your old job...

Jobs are scarce these days mane.

1. Where do you work?

2. What are you gonna prove? There's little ways business owners get out of paying their employees above minimum wage. Especially if it's a small business.

Bring it up to your boss/manager/mom/dad whoever runs the place.

Tell them minimum wage is $X.XX/hr. They may give you a raise, they may not. If they don't - revert to previous post i made... Bust ya ass and get another job. Then tell them to eff themselves.

I work at the local Case IH implement store. I pretty much bust my ass there to keep the shops up and running. We are good friends with the owner...he is a tight ass, and my dad tells me im a dumbass for even bringing it up. If i talk to the owner...he will prolly just fire me anyways. Its just ****ed up and im pretty pissed off about everything.
