Default Getting more back on your taxes?

Tax times are coming up soon and i want to get the most out of it.

I've been using turbo tax (the free edition, i think?) year after year.

Will i have better luck going to one of those tax places? like H&R block?

I'm a single guy, no kids, i don't own any properties, have a full time job with descent salary.

I'm looking to buy a condo or a small house this year so tax times should be fun from next year.

Any help will be appreciated!

Find a good local CPA. Mine does my personal taxes for 80 bucks and hands down does a better job than H&R or a tax program could do. Of course she is also my bosses daughter and does my parents, my parents business, my brothers and my brother and I's business taxes too so she probably knows my family's financials better than I do lol

Certified public account

This is what my CPA told me to tell my sister to do. See lives away from Iowa and she told my mom to tell my sister to find a local CPA.

H&R usually has CPA's on staff but the people you deal with are not usually. Plus, as you continue to use the same CPA they will get to know you better and help you find deductions easier.

My GFs mom used to be an accountant and since she loves her son in law so much, she does mine for free. I will never use H&R or any other tax service again. She always gets me over $1,000 back and does nothing illegal like having me claim kids i dont know lol. The most from H&R was 600 something and another local place got me back 700 something
