what do you want to weld ?

here are some things you might want to point out....

stick weld ?
tig weld ?
mig weld ?

material to be welded ?

not every welder can weld all materials or all types of welds

I weld...but am stupid busy...

Yea Idc, I just want to get started. I have the reading comprehension of a 4th grader so trying to learn shit online is a total PITA unless I semi-know WTF im doing (like w audio)... Anywhere is a great start and Id totally appreciate any pointers anyone could give me. Welding just seems like a big part of every career that interests me and I know nothing about it

Look into classes at your local junior colleges. I know my local JC offers free welding classes, but they are pretty difficult to get in to.

Again, what are you trying to weld? I taught myself the basics at my house with a little 220v flux core box, then took the class at the junior college, and then work put me through a certification class. If you're looking into it as a trade i'd definitely see about the classes. That way you'll have some kind of paperwork behind ya.

Online tutorials will tell you the basics, which is all any experienced welder can do for you. It's trigger time that makes a welder good.
