Or go to a furniture store or a place that sells beds or bedding...

that's not the same stuff, acoustic foam is different.

I was looking around for this and several places sell it online, but it's tough to find a place locally that sells it in small quantities. Most local places I found supplied large amounts and only sold to commercial customers.

The conclusion I came to was the same as the guy above - parts express.

I got a huge piece form Wal-Mart years ago. It was in the bedding section supposed to be used as a pillow top for a mattress.

and did you conduct an experiment to demonstrate an advantage for one over the other?

According to what i've read, bedding material and similar is of very little use for acoustic absorption because of its composition.

Thanks for the tips guy one more question... I know you're supposed to place a square piece behind the speaker motor so would lining the entire outer wall be overkill?

It's overkill to do the whole door, but doing a little extra wouldn't hurt.

I've wondered this too. You're doing it for door speakers right? How are you going to weatherproof it so it don't mold?

I'm in the exact same boat and have had trouble finding it as well
