I was wanting to get Clase Azul, the best rated tequila in the world.. but my staet and nobody in at least a 300mi radius either is allowed to stock it or their distributor refuses to ship it to them...

So anyways.. I do have access to 3 other Azuls-

Centenario is the one you have.

In terms of drinking liquor, i typically prefer rum or tequila but only tequila if i had already been drinking.

I've heard the Azul line is so smooth and tasty that is pretty much doesn't need to be mixed\chased at all.

you have to keep in mind best rated doesnt always mean its going to be the best to you. you end up paying the price for other peoples opinions on it and it may turn out to be a huge bust for you.

when i did drink i had plenty of $20 - $60 bottles that to me were far better than those that were way higher priced.

with Clase the only thing you are really paying for is the fancy bottle. im curious though where did you find/hear it was rated best tequila in the world?

see if you can find a bottle of herraudura seleccion suprema extra anejo. still a bit on the high priced side probably find it for around $200 or so but can go upwards of $500.
if you were to talk to others who have tried both you would probably find that out of the 2 the clase takes a 2nd to it. that would include the snobs who get paid to test and write reviews.

if you want something thats less expensive for a margarita you can always go with cabo wabo reposado

I usually bring back 2-3 bottles from mexico. Best stuff I have tried is this

Very smooth! Doesn't need chilled and no chasers.
I also have a couple bottles of Don Ramon

Its has a little more burn on the way down. But makes an excellent sipping beverage!

I think it's probably because that sub is not moving enough to allow it to cool.. Id turn the gain up a bit so it moves more for cooling reasons.. That's why it's hard on subs to be underpowered..

this is my experience as well.

price and pedigree doesn't always mean it tastes good. I've had expensive well-reviewed stuff that I thought wasn't very good at all. This applies to food too - sometimes a fancy expensive restaurant disappoints while a local dive turns out to be amazing.
