Default Picking up from UPS?

I have an amp and an xm module I ordered Monday scheduled to be delivered this Friday. I'm supposed to be going to EDC in Vegas Friday morning and I know UPS doesn't drop off items until later in the day. It's a 6 hour drive so I really want my sub bumping on the way!

Is it possible to call UPS and have them hold on to the item before it goes out for delivery so I can pick it up earlier myself?

Also, has anyone ever had a package come earlier than the online tracking said it would? I remember it happening before for something and I'm hoping that's the case because I paid for expedited shipping that said it would be 2 days shipped to my address. I get the tracking numbers plugged in the next day and it says 5 days till delivery. ****in lame

Shouldn't be a problem...call them and give them the tracking # and they should be able to hold it at the station for you to pick it up

yesterday UPS delivered my friends laptop around 10am. They normally don't deliver until 4PM or so.

it could arrive earlier. {not a day early.. just a few hours}

UPS always follows through with their estimated "by end of day" for me. I don't think I've ever had anything dropped off earlier than around 6 or 7pm.

I called that number gave them the info I had and asked them to hold it, the lady said that she couldn't do that, and that I had to call the ups store it was sent from. So I called them, she took the info and told me that if it was going to a ups store, then being shipped, it could b done but b/c its coming from the distribution hub I would have to have them reroute it at the next stop making it a day later...that's what I was told, it doesn't make sense to me...

yeah the issue is that it would take another day for them to get it to where I can pick it up.
