need help with modular armor body vest " bullet proof vest"

ok so i won this vest in an ebay auction for $48.63 and it seemed cool just to have for my collection or army and military stuff.

i no nothing about it and neither did the seller, he claimed it was his brothers who gave it to him hefore he moved last year. anyway,

i cant find the info im looking for online so i figured maybe some of you's can help me.


my main question is this vest does not have no markings besides whats in the pics so i cant google anything to find out if its bullet proof how it is or not..

it does have pockets for trauma plates, but i am not sure if its bullet proof to a certain degree or level without the added trama plates,

it does have a patch on both the front and back of the vest inbetween the 2 layers of the vest in the pockets where the plates go..

i took pics of the patch. from what the patch says, to me it looks like it has a built in kevlar type protection plate and the pockets are for added protection plates against higher level rounds of ammo.

but im not sure.

these can come with and with out the trauma plates...

they come in different stages like stage 1 will stop a knife and like a .32 up to stage 4 which can stop like a 7.62 round which are ak47 and similar rifles.... what is the shipping weight he gave you?

That is not bullet proof in the state that it is in. You need the plates, and there are a lot of styles.. some stop tasers and stun guns... some knifes... and some bullets. That is more or less the carrying vest.

shipping weight was 18 pounds with the lil box and the vest is 16 almost 17 pounds it self.. its pretty heavy to be just a carry vest.. it does have thick layers of something on the inside of both the front and back sides of the vest.

so i dont know..

Try it on and have some one shoot you, If it works its legit, if it doesn't then your out the $48.63 lol

with out the plates they are only good for 9mm rounds. They wont stop bein stabbed. With the plates they " Suppose" to stop 7.62 rounds. But after seeing how most service members treat this vests and toss them around, I dont put much faith in the plates.
