Default Attn: David Moore

First off, this isnt a bash thread so NO bashing allowed. This is a civil discussion i wanted opened to the users of caco so they can comment unbiased.

David,
You sent me a pm earlier tonight after i posted a suggestion on a thread in your section. First off, lets look at the pm.

Get er done dave!!

Travis,

Please stop posting things like this in our forum.

I'd rather not get into why or why not. I'm not trying to be rude, etc etc. I'm just asking you to refrain with the "what you built" posts in our section once a week.

Thanks,

David Moore

Lets look at the comment i made first. I stated to the op he should look for a ti basket. Then described one i was working on for a visual image. I then offered some friendly advice concerning what i have found during rebuilds of an av2 and testing. Never once solicited business in fact i gave a word of encouragement for you at the end.

Now your statement.
It was rather polite, which is why i am keeping this the same. You stated i post in your section every week. Anyone can look at my previous posts and you will find maybe 3 in the past year posted on your section.

Now. Im not here to start a fight. You have done this before. Deleted not only posts off your section but also off your facebook from me even if they didnt concern audio.
So i have 2 questions.... #1- what is your beef with me? #2- why do you act like im stealing food(business) off your plate every time i post something?
I have been nothing but respectful to you, even turning business your way and sticking up for you when vendors or other companies call you a hack.

I no longer offer rebuilds/reconing to the general public and haven't for awhile now so why the nervousness?

And again. Keep it civil.

Well you are direct competition to him, but to be honest a customer is going to go where they want no mater what they hear. If someone wants Travis to build a sub they will go to him. If someone wants Dave to build a sub they will go to them.

Its a shame that two people with the same interest cant get a long. And I will vouch for Travis as I have asked him about some parts and he has suggest Dave.

This is true. I have never done anything to him to have an issue. And to be honest i can care less if someone wants me to build something for them. I didnt do it for a job but a hobby. My day job pays me ALOT more then that ever could. And like i said before, I have another child on the way so im not offering anything to the general public anymore. Friends are welcome if they need help.
And i didnt wanna build anything. Just wanted the to give the op a visual of what his motor could be, and offered a friendly word of advice to Dave. regardless if he wants to use it or not. But it was something i found in testing and also from a rather lengthy discussion with a friend of mine who worked at eD.

He is just claiming his territory. People go there to get his suggestion. Hearing your mumbo jumbo talk, an average Joe might think you know more and try your services. I can see how he would get pissy about you trying to tell him how he should do something that is in his profession. Even though it was a friendly suggestion.

well spoken. Only thing is, I dont have any services. so if the average joe tried coming to me, then would have been sent right back to Dave.

Who cares why he asked you not to post. Now by putting this here you have made it into a public issue. If doesn't want your help/opinion then don't waste your time on him.

This issue goes alot deeper then the post i made last night. He's been acting like this for awhile. Not only deleting threads on here but on facebook when it has nothing to do with car audio.
And i wanted this to be public. Im not the only one that has had these issues with him. It seems like he's threatened by anyone who rebuilds subs with some degree of expertise. Why? I dont know. If his business is secure there should be no issue.
I'm still waiting for him to answer as to why he has a problem and why he feels i would be stealing business by posting something i feel to be helpful to him and the o.p.

Its possible he didn't. But either way, if his business is secure, there shouldnt be an issue.
