Default Illinois Noise Laws?

I was just wondering if anyone knows or know where I can find what the noise laws in Illinois are? I got a ticket tonight for my system being too loud but I don't think I should have gotten the ticket. Thanks

Whats your system consist of and how lound did you have it turned up? Around here it's around 50 feet, If they can hear it at that distance its a ticket. different state though.

I have a 800rms pioneer system with an old school rf amp. It gets pretty loud. I only had it up for about 3-5 seconds before I turned it down and I'm about 75% sure that the cop was farther than 50 ft away because he was nowhere in sight when I had it on. But is it if it can be heard within 50 ft or past 50 ft? I always get dat confused lol

Your lucky you don't live in Peoria,IL they impound your vehicle on the first offense.

I think there are different laws depending on what city or county you live in.

But can the cop really give me a ticket for dat shit? I had it on for a few seconds and then I turned it down right away. And then he sped up and followed me and got real close and then followed me some more before deciding to pull me over...
