Default Platform 3 12" 4th order??

Just a simple question, I know the Platform 1s and 2s will work in 4th order bandpasses, but I was curious would the Platform 3 12" driver also work well in this type of box on music? In a Daily driver, no comps or metering or anything like that.

They definitely "can" work well in that type of enclosure. For any Platform 3 series subwoofer built to be used in a bandpass enclosure, we first get more info about the system itself before assembling the sub.

There are just too many variables that can kill the performance of a bandpass enclosure, especially one with 2000+ watt subwoofers in it. It's just better to go over what the actual goal is before just sending someone the sub and hoping for a good result.

In order to get you the correct parts and pricing to build your subwoofer, we need to get a little more info from you.

We need to know:
How many subwoofers are you planning to use?
What size does it need to be?
How much power does EACH subwoofer need to handle? (RMS power)
What impedance will you need (Per voice coil)?
The brand, model, and quantity of amplifiers that you'll use?
Are you just looking for a LOUD daily system?
What type of music?

I will be PM'ing you shortly. I had in mind to buy 4 Fi SP4 15's for a 4th order. But I'll see what you guys can do for me as another alternative if the price and performance is better. PM coming...

What size does it need to be? (12")

How much power does EACH subwoofer need to handle? (RMS power) (2500 rms)

What impedance will you need (Per voice coil)? (Either D4 or D1, just need a final load of 1 ohm)

The brand, model, and quantity of amplifiers that you'll use? (Crescendo 5k)

Are you just looking for a LOUD daily system? (YES!!)

What type of music?
(mostly rap and hip hop but also some rock and R&B too)

Its something I'm planning for my 90s Caprice/Impala I was going to go with a pair of Platform 2 15s but decided to drop to smaller subs so I could get a box that would fit easier and up the power some. Space is not an issue as you know with those cars lol.
