Looking for an alt for a 1998 ford explorer xlt sohc engine 250 amp and up. Also i was wondering if you do setup designs and how much would it run. thanks

hope dont mind me intruding here nick, but check out my thread here man... the SOHC stock alt (4G) sucks in terms of cooling and size so it can't be built very big. I designed a bracket and a setup to be able to put a 3G/6G case on this engine and have instructions on exactly what to do for this exact car. Benefit of doing the 3g you ask? Mike's 340A ambulance alt Check it out!

sure. the first few are obviously the stocker. the last two are pics of the 340A ambulance unit installed on my 4.0 exp





I plan on re-routing that upper radiator hose. just was one of those had to get it done that day kinda things

it performs like it looks.

the one on randens explorer was doing work at slamology. i was impressed how well it held up.
