Default dual alternators on a cummins?

got an 04 3500 with a cummins and would like to have dual alternators..anyone seen it done before?i have searched the net and cant find anything..

dodge 1ton dually with 8 12's and 4 vfl 1100.1's....Cummins powered with quad alts and 35 batteries.my build log below. 162.0 at 42hz burp and 160.2 in streetbeat so far ..and is a demo machine!!

i have one now from an 08 cab an chassis on my truck..does 200 at idle and 220 at 1200rpm..i max it out instantally and sit on 12.2 battery voltage..had 1 company say they can build me a 300amp at 1200rpm..not sure how much that would help.i need 2 300amp alts.lol

ab1100.1..makes at least 10,000watts i think...local desiel parts house..just ordered it straight from denso...about 350bucks..had to make a plug to fit it though,my 2004 was different.

is it the 5.9 or 6.7? I work at a school bus/Limo-Party bus/Coach bus dealership and i know our limo buses with the 6.7 cummins have dual alts on them. PM me your number i may be able to help you out with a bracket though our part department

04 would be 5.9 and I have dual alts on my work truck they have dual alt setups for running hydrolic pumps and jump starting large equipment

The 6.7 and 5.9 blocks are barely different so I'm sure the 6.7 bracket can be easily modified and bolted to the 5.9. I would look into the cab and chassis tucks as well as they might have the dual alts. Cumminsforum.com would be a good place to look.

have looked at all the sites...dual alt is supposed to be an option for this year or next year on new trucks..havent even seen one yet.
