Unhappy Your contacting number plz

Hi This is HAEL from Saudi Arabia,

I ordered upgraded alternator for my KIA Optima 2012,
I told Michael that Optima Alternator is similar to Forte by KIA.

The engine is 2.0 N/A without turbo it's THETA-2 Engine.

The upgraded alternator I received was lil different (Smaller) than my stock unit!

I keep having rattling from the tensioner pulley and alot of slipping I was using smaller belts because I received smaller pulley on the upgraded from you!

I got tired of the slipping issues and I've put the stock pulley on the upgraded one and I can idle on 12.2 volts only !!!

Now I will give you my stock unit information:

Stock alternator rated at 110 Amps max.
I.C REG. BUILT IN
VALEO 2607574
37300-2G501
13.5V 110A.

Plz help me in that, I can send the stock with your upgraded to make me right one
And plz if you can make stock diameter pulley on it, because in my car there is very small belt surface wrap!!! With the smaller pulley I tried different sizes belts but never stop the slipping !!!

Pictures of stock unit is attached!

Thank you.

Hael Al-Aqeeli

Best Regards.

my appolgies.

a high output alternator will not put out well at idle without that smaller pulley. it's just the nature of them.

its possible you may just need a unit that doesn't put out as much power, as your belt situation can't handle it.

i will have mike email you.

For what you are planning as far as power Hael, I would also talk to mike about a hairpin although it would need to be set up to not run as a daily or primary Alt, but as a secondary Alt.

If your stock tensioner is bouncing around you need a tighter belt.

You aren't charging at 12.2.. and resting at that means your batts are getting somewhat low.. you need to throw them on a charger.

Hello Hael
You indeed did have some type of issue with belt contact or your tensioner when using my alternator. The upgrade is built from the denso version which allowed for the proper idle performance to be maintained and stator modifications. Your Valeo alternator casing does not allow for an upgrade due to tolerance constraints and the stator design. A 3 phase alternator will have more engine drag torque after upgrade verses my 6 phase design like what DC also sells.
When using a 3 phase design it would be more likely to rock the tensioner around more if there is a belt contact issue or the tensioner needs updated.

Thank you!

I need a quality belt but I couldn't find locally and I want your input since you're the builder, I need the right belt for my upgraded alternator (Part Number) plz?

I will install the alternator with the suggested belt and I will let you know how it is!

Best Regards.
