*D'oh! Excuse me I didn't see the sub-forum specifically for quotes. All the information needed is below however, and nothing special is needed, aside from the sole notion that I need to obtain one as cheap as possible. And please let me know what one can do to decrease the pricing if anything can be done, such as obtaining an old junk alternator shipped to you to be rebuit et cetera.*
Hey Mike, I'd like a quote for an alternator for this truck please. I don't need anything minutely close to special, moreover, I am needing to pursue the most inexpensive route possible as an immense series of unfortunate events have dramatically reduced the funds once available for an alternator.
The plan is daily use where normally I will probably run in the 2.2-3.2kW area. However, it may turn into daily listening in the 5.5-7.2kW range if I decide to just keep the larger amplifiers in instead of swapping. I will be using 2-3 positive runs, and at least one negative run of quality 1/0 possibly utilizing a gold plated grounding block as well unless it makes for a ground loop. The big three will of course be done as well. The plan is two or three D3100s in the rear, and, if it fits,a nice 80aH AGM battery up front. If I can't get it to work, I might just throw a pair or trio of Kinetik HC600s up front and make a rack for them, and use the 80aH AGM in the rear, though I'd rather have just the trio of matching D3100s. Oh well, beggers can't be choosers. LMK what you can do for me with any and EVERY possible option for me please. I figure I won't need a really high current output alternator with the battery bank, but you know the world more about that than myself.
Thank you much Mike, you are the first person I came to because the alternator you did for my ol' Mercedes several years ago was PHENOMENAL.
