Default A question for all the sq experts out there

Hello people. I have a toyota celica st205 gtfour 1994 model jdm import . My doors have 8 inch's speakers in front and 6.5 in the back doors. The problem is that i wanted to run a 3 way active setup. I

b) can i put lets say focal utopia 6wm dedicated midranges in my front door cars and the focal utopia 5ws in the rear doors for the midbass and the tweeters at the a pillar?
Each speaker will run at a specific frequency:
Focal Utopia TN51 tweeters 3.5Khz up (angled in on the a-pillars)
Focal Audiom 6W 250-3.5Khz mids(low in the front door cards)
2xFocal Utopia 5WS 50Hz-250hz (in the rear)

So the question is:
Can you run a 3 way sq active system lke this instead of having the speakers close to one another like the classical design: kicks, door, a-pillar
Is choosing the other root of having them : the midrange in the doors low, the midbass in the rear and the tweeter in the pillars? applicable to sound quality?
Is sq achievable like this?
I am thinking of this just because i want to keep the stock door cards instead of fiberglass anything and as i already got both the midranges and midbasses.

look for a good 8" mid like old school ADS 8s

or, if you are set on Focal, try for the 7" mids.

if you want 3 way active, find a midrange & tweeter which fit's in the kick panels and be happy.

you can have speakers (3way) a good distance apart from each other.. but I don't suggest having (3way) with the midrange behind you

I would skip the rear locations almost entirely.
rear speakers are not important but they can be useful as rear fill. tweeters are not needed in the rear.

Thanks mate for the reply.
I meant the midrange to be in the front doors at the stock location near our leg. And the tweeters in front of too at their normal a pillar position.
The thing with celicas is that the car is too tight and its difficult to put any mids at the kicks and have your legs inside the same time driving :P
I thought that putting the midrange in the normal front seat location and the tweeter could give the sound and the difference is that i will have the midbass coming from the rear doors. Check the pic. I have marked the speakers positions. midrange in front , midbass at the back and tweeters in the a pillars. All in stock positions and 3 way active? Logic says that the music will come in front and the bass from the back. But the thing is that the speaker have a distance from each other.

I'm about to do this exact thing in my car. 6.5" midbass in the rear doors 80-300hz, 4" mids in the front doors 300-2.5khz and tweets low in the doors on axis.

I've read about some very seriously successful world class SQ vehicles that ave accomplished this. Since midbass is tough to localize, it should be just fine. Those frequencies are only laterally localized, meaning as long as you have time alignment, you "shouldn't" be able to tell they're behind you.

One thing though, you said the rears are for 50hz down? Or is that a typo because you have a huge hole between 50 and 250hz

Nice first post, however they did make a 4 door celica in the 1980's.

nope, the celica name was being added to other cars during the 80's in Japan. The celica supra and the celica camry were both around.
