One of these is a $400 driver. The other is a $30 driver. Both have similar power handling, resonance and sensitivity. What am I missing? Where's the extra $370?

And by the way... just going by these FR graphs, which would you rather have?

id say the top freq is the 30 sub and the 400 is the lower one. the lower can handle the freq better then the 30 as its less stable? just a shot in the dark lol

Highs friggin slay me. You just can't tell!! Arg! I mean, you can look at a sub's specs and kinda tell yes or no. Or even by looking at it. But there are so many intangibles with highs. How the **** do you pick a good one without having 100 different ones in similar installs to audition?

This all started while I was browsing the classifieds over at DIYMA and ran across a set of tweeters for $1,300. Really? Are you shitting me? There's a diamond dome tweet on Madisound for $3k... each. GTFOH.
