3way active Xover setting help

So my midbass Frequency range, on paper is...56 to 2,500 Hz, My midrange is 78 to 4,000 Hz, and my tweeter is 1,500-20,000 Hz . My 4channel has a bandpass Xover for my midbass and midranges and my tweeters will be ran off a separate amp with a passive inline Xover. The only ones I can find are 5khz 12db slope...... What Xover settings do you guys run on your active 3way setups and what would you given the info above.

you need to cross your tweeters at least as high as the manufacturer recommends.

That doesn't really help me. I'm just looking to see what people usually set their 3way setups at. And what they would start this one at.

Hello..fluffy....that's where everyone starts..I just installed a dynaudio 3 way in my car and went by factory passive crossover points for my 4xs electronic crossover.
4500 for tweets
4500-900 for dome midrange
900 down for midbass.

That is exactly the information I was looking for. The guys on Diyma are just a bunch of whining bitches because I decided to try and make a loud, decent sounding 3 way setup. Thank you very much, I will start there. Next question, Where the hell do I find a passive Xover for the tweeter? the ones on Crescendo and PE.com are all 5k. Should I have each one crossover into each other at all or keep everything separate?

Do 4000 for the tweets
4000-500 midrange
500 down for midbass

All of the ones on PE are 5k. Same with Crescendo.

For the tweeters all you have to do is use the hpf on the amp and start where the manufacture say they should be crossed.

I will be running a loud front stage also all active. Right now the front is only 2 way. Mids are at 80-2500 and my horns are from 1.2k- 20,000k. It does well but.....

I may try this setup that way I can still use my horns and have my doors loaded also.

3 way setup will be Mids 70-2k, Horns 1.2-12k, Supertweeters from 10k -20+k. May sound unconventional but the horns fall off up really high. Mine is mainly for loudness but I love the clarity from the horns.
