Default USB vs CD

is there such a thing as a head unit that has the same quality from its usb as its cd? i use no compressed files, only .wav
the answer i get usually is "just use a cd".... sq leaves the car when the disc skips violently, spl and sq should be able to live in harmony within my ride,, idk, i went back to 2010 on this forum and found nobody talking about it? so here is the post, anybody out there have high end front stage and can hear no difference between their flash drive and cd?

technically the usb would have the potential to sound just as nice, it would also sound better then a cd that was dirty or scratched. It's all down to what media you play over the connection.

i also wondered about that, but what about an SD card? i have a avh p3200 and dont like having my ipod chord hanging from the front of it, or even a thumb drive stuck in it, but it has the SD card slot. Can a HD sd card play at the same quality?

I see most units nowadays running their AUX inputs through some sort of DSP. which IMO will render as good or better SQ in the automotive environment. As stated given the conditions of a vehicle CD's have so many downsides to USB. Scratch's,skipping, dust, fumbling for the next one in a book of cd's,etc...All these things are eliminated with USB.

Sd = usb quality. Aux is not as good imo since it is more susceptible to noise, clipping etc... another thing to go wrong.

When I say AUX I am referring to the AUX USB input. AUX just being the generic term since its not a source within the HU itself. And also what this thread is about.

That is what I was assuming, just don't use 3.5
