Default sub overpowering stock speakers, options or help?

First post so im a noon but anyway I just recently installed a 10 inch alpine type r sub along with a Rockford fosgate p3001 amp and Panasonic deck and love it but there are a few problem the main one described in the title. I need louder speakers because I like having the sub pounding at high volume. I have a mint jl audio 2 way amp but was hoping to sell it rather than use it so im wondering if it would be smarter to replace my stock speakers with better aftermarket speakers and power them through the deck or use the amp. Also my stock speakers are 5 1/4 in my front doors and 6x9 in rear deck/trunk right above the sub. (Would aftermarket rear speakers be super. Neccesary or just front?) I'd rather not spend much more on this system cuz I really only set it up Cruz I always thought a sub would be cool and got most of the equipment I have for a great deal but I want to hear sounds other then bass nicely enough. Any advice will be aprreciated! Thanks

quick advice to 'get you by';

turn bass boost off on the amp.
set the gain between half and 3/4 gain
fire the sub rearward.

adjust the radio's bass or sub control down until the music sounds decent. {if that's all the way down, it'll be ok}

adjust the mid & treble (or just treble) up to your taste. [not all the way up]{if it's almost all the way up, it'll be ok}

you can also fade forward some to hopefully make it sound even better.

lastly, adjust the bass control back up as needed while listening to music.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

aftermarket speakers will most likely make it sound better just by installing them without changing anything else. you could adjust it all afterward to make it sound even better.

6x9s get loud.. but I'm not a fan of mids/highs behind me. and if you simply remove the 6x9s and get it to the point where the 6x9 holes are open to the trunk.. your bass could sound even better than it does

OK thanks a lot guys! Its a 1997 Oldsmobile LSS and not sure if this is normal or worth mentioning my Panasonic decks volume maxs out at 40 and from 0-30 it is not very loud and volume doesnt increase much until around 30-40 there is a high increase of volume change each number so its not the most even or consistent. Jw
