Default Is this a decent eq for front stage

I picked up a Audio control EQT BNIB this morning. Anyway this would be a good eq for a front stage?

I will be running a pair of soundqubed coaxials and a sound digital nano 250.2.

I've never had a eq before so its a new experience for me.

Yeah, those are great EQs. The only problem is that you need two. There's only a mono input/output, so you need one for the left channel and one for the right channel.

I guess technically you could, but you would just be playing either the left or right channel through both speakers. You can only connect either the left OR right RCA to the input on that EQ.* If all of your music is recorded in pure mono it wouldn't be a problem, but all music is going to be recorded with some sort of panning or phasic differences to present a soundstage.

*If you do decide to just run mono, make sure you only split a signal using y-adapters. Never try to combine a signal (like combining the L and R channels) with y-adapters.

It isn't a good idea to sum two channels together (L+R) like that. You'll get an output impedance mismatch from each channel on the headunit which could potentially damage it. Just choose which channel you want to run or build or buy a summing circuit, although I'm not aware of an inexpensive commercial summing box for car audio, only pro audio.

Why Not Wye?

If I do a crossover between the eqt and the speakers would that clear up the impedence issue?

It's not the impedance that's the issue. It's a single channel eq. You will lose l/r. Summing them is a bad idea. And once summed you cant break them back apart.
