Default 30 bands of Esque!

So it has been a while since I have posted here. So i thought i would share some of the new goodies i have aquired over the pasy few months for my rebuild. I found a couple of great additions to my arsonal(see what i did there). First is a NOS MA Audio eq with built in 3 way crossover and seperate front and rear 30 band eq. I believe this is from the early 2000's and is untouched! I also picked up a nice 5 way crossover as well. This will replace the coustic Xme i currently have.
So on to a few pictures...

Coustic XM5e is an old school 3 way crossover I have. I would like to score an XM7 unit. But the Lanzar x10 I essentially the same.

Nice! I just picked up a Helix P-DSP, so I've got a lot of tuning ahead of me as well.

Nice! With 1/3 octave control its gonna be a nightmare to rune this beast. And im using half for the front stage and half for the rear "demo section" in the hatch area. This coupled with the x10 running 4 way active should sound amazing though.

I have to agree with you, late 90's early 2000's had some great gear that we don't see anymore. Everything now is digital which really does not compare.

I like digital dont get me wrong. But some things just need to be analog. Plus this visually just looks cool and will be a center piece in my build.

You should get a cassette deck or an 8 track in there to, believe it or not both of those formats can posses greater dynamic range than CD's

but can't touch a total digital lossless format.
old technology is more of a nostalgia thing, it's not better per say, it's just more familiar and contributes towards the listeners bias.

You know how many times I hear that, in theory and on paper yes but in actual practice nope. The noise floor on digital music is incredibly low if not almost non existent, that is definitely an advantage but ..... Good analog still wins
