Default Silver Flute 8s in vented kick panels??

Considering some options to match up with a pair of ES Pro horns and considered the Flutes as a non PA options.....I know these perform well in ported enclosure as apposed to just IB, was wondering if it would be worth the effort to try this in my kick panels??

And how much power realistically are the Silver Flutes comfortable with in a daily driver?

Dont really have an issue with PA as far as this goes, even considered Beyma or the JBL 2118h as well, just weight out some options before I commit.

Any and all input is always appreciated thanks.

From an output point-of-view from 100hz and up I don't think you're going to beat the JBLs. The Flutes will get lower though with the right enclosure. I ran the Flute 8"s in ~0.5 ft^3 sealed in my last dash and they sound great. They would do well in vented enclosure if you have the ability to do do it, but I wouldn't do IB with them unless you just need every last drop of low end from them and don't need high output levels. Even 0.5 ft^3 was too much room IMO.

I use the Beymas per Eric Stevens suggestion. Love em. They take a lot of power and hammer the midbsss. Right now they're paired up with ID horns. Loud and clear.

I have two SF 8's in each door, basically IB till I get off my lazy ass and get em sealed up.

I'm not a pro, so I don't have much to add other than they sound very nice at moderate listening volumes, but if I turn them up to where they're seeing around 120 clean o-scoped watts they just don't sound quite right. I would say the 100 watts RMS is about right for anything but an optimal enclosure.

I would think if you plan on spending time on getting your enclosure and tuning right, these couldn't be beat for the price. But if you wanted high output with your SQ you might look somewhere else.
