Default 6.5's or 8's or both?

i was wondering if it would be better to run 6.5's or 8's or both in my doors? i have a 99 mitsubishi montero sport and i plan to run 4 sundown audio e12v3 subs on a sundown audio svc 3000d. i want to try pro audio to see if i like them or not.

i have 3 6.5s in each of my doors, and i regret not doing 4 8's. what kind of power will you be throwing at them? What brand speakers you looking at? And how many per door?

from what I've learned if you do a 8" it'll be better to do like a 3" or 4" midrange vs. a 8" and 6.5". 3 6.5"s would be great per door though. 8s if your looking to dig a little deeper in the midbass area though

If all you care about is "loud and clean" just throw as many speakers as you can wherever they fit. Ideally you want to properly seal and damp the doors to reduce midbass cancellation.

If you care about staging and timbre it is probably a bad idea to run multiple speakers with anything playing above 200-300hz.
