To the original question, there isn't a double din on the market that has built in tunability that matches the 80prs and the 80 prs is fairly limited tuning wise compared to former pioneer options and all of those are fairly limited compared to an actual dsp. So, it depends on what you want the unit to be able to do.

Find a nice pioneer unit that has the looks and features you want ie dvd, nav, bluetooth, etc. Then make sure it has the active crossovers, 16 band eq and time alignment.

This. However only the 80prs has 16 bands of Eq. All the double dins have a 13 band. Be sure the one you pick has network mode. I own 2 FH-X730BS units, one in my truck and one in the gfs car. Love them. Network mode is great, my only issue is the Eq just doesn't have enough pull.

If you go pioneer do not hot swap rca's, you'll instantly pop the peco fuse and hello alt whine. It's an easy fix but easier to just avoid it in the first place.

Love my Pioneer 4100nex (replaced by the 4200nex) It has most of the features you would need but like mentioned it only has a 13band eq instead of a 16band. I haven't had any issues with it in my Jeep on a simple daily setup 4 6.5 mids 2 tweets and 1 12. Everything blends well and I wasn't looking for SQ per say. I just wanted it to sound good to me and my passengers and I have yet to hear a complaint. The only change I plan on making is I am going to go back to traditional components (3 way up front 2 way in the rear) just so I pick up so more midbass. Right now I have all PRV and it sounds great but hate that I have no low end extension.

Yeah the 13 band Eq will be enough for most. I tune my truck with pink noise and REQ so I'm always like Damnit I need 4 more DBs of cut! Ha

But really it's fine.

For your set up just change the mids. Get the Sb acoustic SB17, mid bass for days while still being able to blend well in a 2 way. SB Acoustics SB17NRXC35-4, 6.5 Woofer
