Some brands use lesser quality materials in their cones and I have seen cones "fold" during competitions. After reconing and using a 8" carbon fiber dustcap to help stiffen or reinforce the cone they never had that issue again. I use them as preventative maintenance just in case.

I've found that they dont get as warm compared to the traditional ones when youre beating on your subs. But I dunno if that means an improvement in performance, ha

Carbon fiber adds 10 deebeez

But seriously, it looks cool and can help with weaker cones as said above

If anything that's a disadvantage. Coil still getting just as hot just you can't tell as well now.

technically adding more mass increasing mms and lowering fs and efficiency slightly if you are just adding another cap on over the stock. Dont think it'll impact your scores by too much though. I'd say its just aesthetics.

They are entirely cosmetic on our products as our cones are extremely strong to begin with. That is... aside from the extremely rare scenario where someone may be melting a poly dust cap (which we have seen before in some bass boxing scenarios).
