Default Flatline 5k Clamp

This is a test for the new Flatiline 5k amps and the skar 4500
test was done on 18 skar vvx 12's
so test was done at a 1ohm nominal load because we could not get the amps to play 18 subs at .25ohms
both the Skar and the Flatline would go into protect after i would start turning it up

We will do a lot more testing in different setups where we have less subs and can get the rise to stay at around 1 ohm

Skar 4500 Results
Starting at 1ohm rising to 3.8ohms
3696 rms @ 11.8v
149.5 @ 41hz

Flatline 5k Results
Starting at 1ohm rising to 3.8ohms (rise was the same)
3650 rms @ 11.6v (even though it was pulling more voltage it was pulling less amperage)
150.3 @ 41hz (.8db louder)
it sounded less louder though but that because it was cleaner power

Voltage drop is directly related to current draw. So the lower the number the more current is being drawn. That or you didn't fully recharge the batteries between tests.

Can you give us so data numbers? ACV,ACA, starting voltage things like that and since you said it was pulling less current I assume you clamped DC amperage as well?

I think it's probably because that sub is not moving enough to allow it to cool.. Id turn the gain up a bit so it moves more for cooling reasons.. That's why it's hard on subs to be underpowered..

Great power with that rise. What model clamp did you use?
