I have a few questions about what people like and don't like about them.
Resolution: Does it need .1V resolution or less?
Update Rate: Adjustable or not?
Dimmable: Yes or no?
Bass knob: Yes or no?
Display Type: Analog or digital or both?
Voltage Range: Selectable, 14, 16, 18V?
Measurement Range: Do you care about less than 11V?
14V meter reads 11-14.5
16V meter reads 13-16.5
18V meter reads 15-18.5
Round or square?
Feel free to answer all or some. I'm looking for opinions on these questions.
3d printer arrived 3/19
Tried to make a few covers.
PC boards arrive tomorrow 3/23, hope to have a working sample in the next couple days.
3/23: PCB's arrived, started the first proto build.
3/24: First proto built an functional. Short video too:
3/25: Printed the back case
I don't like the square back. Next one will be round.
3/27 Flat back case and beveled front.
3/30 High and low alarms displayed.
Right now the alarms are hard coded to 10.5 and 15.5. When the input hits 10.5 you see this.
When you hit 15.5 you see this:
Once the buttons are functioning you will be able to set both levels.
3/31 Buttons function, settable high and low limit is working. Video shows setting high and low range. Then I ramp the voltage up and down to hit the new values.
4/1 LEDs are working around the perimeter. They light according to the low and high range you set. Depending on the range each led represents a different voltage.
4/2 High and low range save function is done. It's essentially ready for testing.
