i had 2 of the q power 15 deluxe (the older ones without the stitched cones)...they were so cheap $70 for a pair I didnt care about over powering them id feed them my 2600 watt brutus 2608d at full tilt and didnt care about them getting stinky...they hit the lows while wearing a cape in the hatch of an '02 suburban...people would stop me and be like whats in there 4 15s? (prefab box I think the subs were happy on the power)
those speakers let me know i dont have to spend $500 dollars on a decent sub i can get by with something less...
i sorta wish people would make it game (competition) at finding moderately cheap subs and doing numbers in the lanes with them...as id be more happy seeing q powers die in the lanes rather than a $500 dollar overbuilt sub...(all subs die no matter how much you paid)
one more thing
these subs had one spider and a 3" coil and did damage (great on lows no break in)
im thinking next time i get a q power im going to see if i can get them reconed with an aluminum coil and with 2 more spiders and see if i can get them to take atleast 2000-2500 a piece i think its worth it
i feel that the deluxe series has great cooling and the design is not overdone and most of the magnet is used when at full tilt...
heck the warehouse is here in houston i may snatch up another pair at least i wont cry at the price when they blow
-all in all let me stop rambling-they get the job done
i now run 12-14k daily on 4 18s but i had fun with those subs id like to hook them up on my current power (hmmm? thinking)
