Default Stereo Integrity HS 24 TSP's

Beat the sub with 1K rms 25Hz free-air until my amp went into thermal protection, coil was barely above room temp and spider has really softened up. More than pleased with everything except the sensitivity. Looks like its a winner for some sick HT usage. Could probably get 10Hz near flat extension at twice rms power with a good 4th order in the right room... 1Krms was moving it just under 1.5", 1/2 its 70%bl throw. Don't think you'll find a better 24" sub and any price point, and other than LE I'm liking it more than the lms ultra... which is $130 more dollars...

PS, compared to the video's on youtube the suspension on this one is surprisingly quiet, most of noise in the video is vibration, setting there un-boxed was enough to cause noticeable vibrations in the mirrors in the nearest bathroom and the floor was shaking hard enough to gie your voice a waver as if being shaken in a vehicle with a badly out of balance tire.

Bravo SI... Well done. (And I don't say that very often)

Heres some plots, pink line is IB. For Car the site recommended 10cuft net would work okay, but the bigger the better with this monster.

Purple line on graph is -3dB, pink line on graph 0dB

Thanks. I really like the drivers also. Tons of displacement from a single driver.

How did you get a hold of driver #1? No metal "gasket" means it was the first driver I built for a customer with the very few prototype parts that we initially got.

couldnt say, first SI sub that has peaked my interest enough to try out lol. Motor is one awesome motor though, tons of clearance and great bl.

oh yeah, and I wouldnt say I'm back, just wanted to share this awesome info. Post break in im betting the q drops to .55 and the fs to around 17. Thats a near perfect q for subsonic use in HT without being a muddy sounding junker. The Q really shows how well the coil mates to the gap (proper magnetic coupling) when companies use generic parts and the coil isnt physically centered in the magnetic gap you start seeing overly high q and lower bl's that translates into very muddy sound and exceptionally low sensitivity. I get listening fatigue from drivers not sounding natural or adding nuances or colour to the sound, but this sub hit the mark. If your ever looking for a hi-fi subsonic ht setup, this should be your go to woofer.

lol, indeed, and for a sub designed for IB those are small boxes. (this is not a car sub) but could you imagine how big they would be if the q was high. Box size increases by factors as q rises. ie Q of .43 like Box to be Vas @ fs, Q of .5 likes 3x Vas @ 5-9Hz below FS, .6 likes 4.52x Vas @ 7-10Hz below fs The IA 21 needs boxes not much smaller than these to really perform at its most musical capabilities.

he was local, decided he wanted to go with a different setup, offed it and I was lucky enough to spot its ebay listing. How hard is it to put the trim on?
