Poor Mans Test Bench

Well guys, i know people have test benches, and power supplies and all that fun technical stuff but i dont need to bench test subwoofers and all that, just mainly components and coaxle speakers. just small stuff so heres what i did. list of items:

1 motorcycle amplifier (2 channel)
1- rca to headphone jack or headphone jack to headphone jack both work on amplifier
1- wall power supply (fits almost anything, i got this one from a rechargable flashlight) it comes with one if you wanna make your own power wire
1-mp3 player or computer
and speakers

the amp is $14
rca to headphone jack $1
Speakers- whatever ya got to test on

so $15 for a test bench to make sure nothing is blown. i use this all the time to test speakers before shipping. its cheap, easy, and it makes sure all your products arent blown before shipping!

you might wanna get an automotive battery charger with a spare batt or a an emergency jumper box to use for dc power instead,.. I'm pretty certain that wall transformer is gonna pop if you use it constatly.

huh? idk thats how it came, i didnt make anything. you mean to hook it up to a motorcycle? idk, idc how to do so. lol. its sitting in my room. it wont be installed ever.

well, I just meant that if the transformer/charger is only able to produce x amount of amps, and you need more power to supply the amp for certain applications, it could fry it and possibly start a fire,.

I did that when I was alot younger, lol

ohhh ok. yeah. they didnt give me any directions for this or anything. just a plug to make, rca to head phone jack, and some basic knowledge haha. it works so far and hasnt failed me yet. have had it for almost a year now. puts out decent power just to test if speakers are blown or anything.

I used to use a model railroad power supply straight on the speaker terminals as it's output was variable ac, 0-17v with a current capacity of 40 amps,.. But it was only good for 60hz, which meant I could only test subs, midbass, and fullrange drivers without problems
