Default Wired/Orion MBR70 Battery Isolator

1. Product: Wired/Orion MBR70

2. Specs: The MBR 70 is a "smart" regulator/isolator that senses the needs of the vehicles battery and any additional batteries. Unlike conventional battery isolators, the MBR 70 requires no cutting into the factory electrical system. It allows all the batteries in your vehicle to become a collective voltage source.

The MBR 70 ensures the proper voltage level in the vehicles battery by concentrating solely on that battery until it sees a charge voltage above 12.5 volts. Once this voltage level has been established, the MBR 70 couples all the batteries so they can be charged.

When your engine is running, the MBR 70 allows the alternator to feed the auxilliary batteries a regulated charge up to 70 amps.

When the ignition is turned off it becomes a one way gate, isolating the current in the vehicles battery from passing through to the auxilliary batteries . This one way gate ensures that the vehicle's battery will always have enough charge to start the car, regardless of the charge status of the aux batteries.

3. Description/Condition: Excellent shape/ see pics.....the "In"-Vehicle's battery input hole was drilled out to accept 1/0, but had to use a 1/0 to 4 gauge adapter to use it. I have a paper manual as well.

4. Price: : $100 shipped

This is my third iteration of this type of regulator and I've personally never noticed anything like that.

.....well, except during musical transients and then the volt meter dips into the mid to low twelves sometimes.

Yep, identical to the Orion one.

The output has been opened up so you can run 1/0 to your additional batteries. There is no ground in or out, as can be seen in the pics. What this more or less does is make your battery(s) in the trunk or where ever you may have them mounted totally seperate from the main battery. What I did was use my front battery to power my front stage and the ones that were separate powered my sub stage. Nice piece and worked well.
