Currently has the stock 90amp alt, upgrading to a 220 universal alt from power bastards ASAP but am curious to know for now will 2 big everstart maxx batts in the trunk be enough? Just incase that alt isnt as universal as they say. Also napa has group 31batts, 810cca for 90 bucks each with my military discount and a 18month replacement warranty, 30 months pro rated. going to be running an ap3000d at 1.4daily and upgrading to a cresendo playing at .35daily

Well right now those batteries arent really in the budget. the car is going to be sitting for about 8 months while on deployment, when I get home I plan on buying 4 good batteries for the trunk and one for under the hood. you think the everstarts will work for now?

Dude, don't skimp on the batteries. Especially ones that can/will vent in your trunk and possibly explode. Nuff said on that one! Save the money while you're deployed and do it right the first time because loading a few of those batteries up in your trunk and there's a chance you might not have a car to put it in.

Believe me, I've got 3 deployments under my belt and the 4th coming up in May and the same stuff I wanted when I left was still being made and sold when I got back I had money to buy even better stuff. Save the $$$$ and you'll be glad you did in the long run.

90 amp alt.. and each amp draws over 250 amps...do the alternator 1st..and dont run anythign til u get some actual car audio batteries...

exactly what u dont wanna do is voltage drop the amp..fry the board and fry your alternator

The napa batteries are sealed batteries. Just curious to know if 2 in the trunk and one under the hood is enough. We are working on getting the alternator built but it's not going to be soon. The car comes with a small case alt and really no
room for a large case.

Real talk......I ran a saz-3000d on my 4runners stock alt and a autozone battery for a couple months. It wasn't great but it worked. I didnt fry anything. It can be done, but it isnt wise. If you are deployoin really soon I would just wait to get the batts and shit. I know that deployment money will get you a couple xs power batts and a alt.....thats where mine went

i would save up also..get it done right the 1st time..instead of patching it together and prolly end up spending more money anyways

ive ran the maxx batts numerous times in the car, run the vent lines outside the car and done.

I don't know about this. I'd have to disagree on buying 3-4 batteries unless you will be playing the music with the car off. I don't know how much my amp is really pulling but I rarely drop below 13 volts with my Orion XTR2400 at full tilt on an ebay 165 amp alt, redtop in front and yellowtop in the back, none being g31's. My gains are set for 2500 rms with MM.

Ok what about deka intimidator? 100ah and in the price range, actually can get them cheaper then everstart maxx's

sold directly to the military , and i called and asked if they would sell them to me and they said yes. 80 bucks each :D

I wouldn't run the amp at .35ohms daily it could take it but its gonna stress the components much more. Also your not going to need 3-4 batts and a big ass alt for one 3k. The alt and one or two batts would be plenty.

.35 is before any rise though. and that amp does over 4k at .5ohm

so we are picking up a pair of the deka 1031s tomorrow. hopefully order the alt on the 1st still unsure who i am going with. right now excessive amperage has the largest alt and the best price.
