Why not an AP3k? They do 3k @2ohms

aq2200d should do 2500rms at .5 ohms
I like the aps and just bought another 1500 but if you already have the subs for that coil config. the aq2200 is a better buy. it will be workin just hard enough at .5 after rise to get you 2500+ and wont overheat or run hot with decent electrical. The ap3k however will never do 3k if you wire it to 2 ohms, and barely ever get warm and clamp about 1600-1700 max if you have 2x rise.
I dont care if ppl say rise is not an issue but every clamp test i have done shows 2-3x rise so I always try to match it up to about 50 - 75% starting load compared to rated load. depending on the amp quality and electrical support

Hmm.. so you say an amp that does 3k will only do 1600~1700 watts when it rise is to 4 ohms...but it doesnt do 3k.. I need help as well. have two re sx's. kinda stuck between a sundown 3000d or an aq2200. ive had aq in the past and was extremely happy with it's power and reliability. but then again sundown is a little bit more power at .5 so opinions please?
