how many watts do you have running to the sub? you would be good with 2 sets og 6.5 comps on each door depending how much power you're running.. to run 8" mid its better in a 3 way front stage set up

8" midbass.. intended use: playing midbass {80hz to 300hz}

8" subwoofer.. intended use: playing lower bass {30hz to 80hz}

could they be the same woofer? Yes a woofer could do both.

A speaker designated as a midbass by the manufacturer usually has a smaller Vas and higher Fs so it "likes" to play midbass frequencies and would not work well as a subwoofer.

well i got 2 6.5 sets in front 70 rms goin to each 1 set in box and 1 set in door and 6x9 in back and i just dont hear it. was thinkin if i added 2 8's i would hear it then. and i would buy a new amp. depending weather i get 8'' mid or sub i could go from 100rms rockford amp p200-2 or a alpine amp PDX-F4 i got both

edit and so what hz you think im missing? or is it hit and miss?
