Hello all, I have a JL Audio 500/1 and the power light comes on but I get no sound. I have opened it and everything looks good. Just wondering if anyone had some insight on this. Thanks

Wow....lots of pics.

I see a small brown/burn mark in between the two rounded wire coils. Could be the problem.

You can really see if 3rd pic down from the top.

Jeff or even Brandes.cm could def tell ya what happened. Their expertise is beyond mine.

Just a side not: You did good posting a lot of gut shots. What to look for is burn marks, burned resistors, Fets, any type of discoloration inside is a good indication something went wrong.

Power supply is toast, more than likely the rectifiers too.
