We have been slammed busy lately processing a lot of big orders for overseas, bracket production runs, and TONS of units for CACO members. One of our friends that helps out around the shop is a photography buff, so she took some random pictures of stuff going on in the shop, so I though some folks might find it interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes.

Nice pics. Is that my bracket for the Astro your welding up?

Am.
Just curious, why are you calling those 350 alts "SMD" alts when you were making them (on order) before he even went with Mechman?

As a matter of fact, it very well could have been. Yours was one of quite a few units in that production run.

Our older units were based on a standard AD244 stator stack. The SMD units feature an 6mm deeper stack and a 8mm longer custom rotor. The peak output is the same as our old 350's, but the idle output is a bit higher on the "SMD" spec unit.

We call it the "SMD" spec unit to this day, because it's a name people identify with, and the customer can take pride in the fact that they are rocking the exact same unit as Steve Meade.

Why does Nike make "Air Jordan" shoes ???
